Saw a piece on Russian SWAT/ SF training last night. These guys are NUTZ! Confidence drill: Two guys about 7-10 meters apart. Both have ballistic vests. FMJ ammo. First guy draws, does three shot into the other guy's vest, other guy has to shoot three into a silhouette target RIGHT NEXT TO THE FIRST GUY!! Another stress drill had the shooter hasseled by guys firing rounds next to his head, slapping him, yelling, and the shooter has to put pistol rounds into silhouette targets placed next to two live trainees, about 10 meters away. Host of the show sez "this won't go over too well in the US". Probably not.

No shit they are crazy. I saw something on their Spetznaz once, "Most Hardcore...". Said they get locked in a room with a pissed dog and only one comes out alive, among other crazy shit like you mention.
Their prisons are equally hardcore. Saw a show that went inside Black Dolphin. That's gotta be the worst/most miserable prison I've ever seen. South American and Mexican prisons pale in comparison.

It was a episode of Tac TV hosted by Larry Vickers. Kinda out there with the dumb shit they were doing. One guy shooting shot into the ground at his own feet while doing the drills looked like a AD......
