What size spotting scope do you all prefer for shooting 1000 yards plus. No where around me ever had any for me to look through. So I hate to order one and not quite be what I need

Depends on what you are expecting to see when you look that far.

I can see everything I need to see with 20X, 15X even works well......bullet holes are not on the list of things I expect to see.
 
Straight, angled, binos vs spotter, reticle vs no reticle are common questions you need to decide on. Then there’s plenty of threads on here you can review. Expect to spend >$500 if you want decent glass and $1000 or more for good glass, especially at higher magnification.
12x binos will see shots on steel at 1000 if they’re ona tripod. Reticle helps to call adjustments to a shooter.
