Heres the skinny gents,
Need a spotting scope or binoc setup that will allow us to do rifle zeroing procedures. Using the standard 300m m16 zero target at 35 meters on a dimly lit range may prove challenging for cheaper optics, I assume? For my unit and we'll need 3 or so, so price could be an issue. What advice can you give? Need to get these asap so any help is appreciated.

Re: spotting scope help

Can't speak for it yet, but Vern at CVT suggested I pick up the Celestron 65 at $135.

I had asked him what he thought the best spotter under $300 was. That's what he suggested.

Its been ordered but is on backorder

Re: spotting scope help

Get the Siebert Optics 11x70 quality modified binoculars.

I brought a pair of 70mm ones with me along with the 100mm Pentax spotter to the Houston Scope viewing party. The guys who got a chance to look through them felt its image quality and resolution was superior to that of the Hendsoldt and Schmitt Bender. It was the second best optics there after my Pentax spotter and has enormous light gathering power.

It also comes with a 60 days satisfaction guarantee. If it doesn't work for you, you send it back for a full refund.

If that is too much, you can go for these 63mm binos:

At the very minimum, give the Nikon Action 10x50's a shot.
