Well guys, after the announcement of the Kuna, I got pretty excited at the price point. Picked one up, love the gun, it shoots amazing until...
Stove piping, then stove pipe again. I look down and a spring is sitting there with the brass case. The ejector is completely missing.

I call Springfield, they were nice. Obviously, sent in the bolt and 3 weeks later its back with a new ejector. Mind you it has maybe 45 rounds through it total.

Take it out yesterday, 14 rounds in, ejector is sitting on the ground in pieces... now it has a broken ejector again. WTF! I'm pissed and let SA know that. Off to SA goes the bolt again, I told them I want a new bolt and not just an ejector assembly. What a disappointment

My oldest daughter’s BF bought one a couple weeks ago. He didn’t have any issue with his, probably put a few hundred rounds through it the other weekend here at the house.

I doubt he has shot it again since then but will ask if he has had any issues since shooting here at the house

    That sucks.

If you keep the gun, you may want to just order a few extra bolts and tape one to each of your spare mags.
Frustrating. I thought that system had been proven out before they decided to bring it on board.

There is NOTHING Springfield has ever made that is worth owning, short of some of the stuff out of the custom shop. They are a basic, priice point oriented company who just throws shit against the wall to see what sticks.

Their striker pistols are among the worst you can buy and have been since inception. Rebranded HS2000 that cant even get through a 2 day pistol class.
Their 1911s are okish, overpriced for what you get. Mostly imported parts. You can get a Turkish gun that shoot circles around it for half the price, with much better internal components. Exception is the Pro from custom shop, but your also paying $3K+.
Their M1a suck and have always been subpar. Terrible barrels. There is a reason people drop surplus GI parts in them. FA, and many others make much better quality guns.
Their AR's are basic bitch cheap price point guns. You can get a PSA that will be higher quality for less.

So its not surprising some newfangled piece of shit clean sheet design has issues. They cant even get their core competencies correct. There are WAY too many good, Proven PCC's out there at just about every price point to take a gamble on a springer. This one is another Croatian piece of shit. Here is some news: don't buy any gun made in Croatia.

I was wondering about some of those Turkish ones as there is a whole lot of them at the local gun stores
Which brands / models of those Turkish ones have you seen be reliable and decently built for the price points?

I have shot 2 of the MAC comp guns. One customized and one sort of stock. They are SWEET 2011's and both guys own expensive ones and say the MAC punches way above its weight. I really like the MPA DS9 Hybrid but for like 1/3 of the price these things are really really tough to beat, and they will run when dirty and cold, unlike alot of the high end 2011s. They are right around or under $1K if you search gundeals.

Depends if you want a 4 or 5" gun:

Not sure if the Kuna is wonderful or terrible ... I just know that over 7+ years I've got thousands of rounds through my SIG MPX-K without ever having a problem of any kinds. I aim and pull the trigger, and it goes BANG without fail. I think I'll keep it.

You must have gotten one made on a Tuesday or Wednesday

I had an extractor break on a Glock 19 years and years ago. I only noticed because the brass was dropping out nearer to me than usual. I fixed it, but am 100% confident it would have worked if I got into a tussle on the way home. That gun has over 20K rounds on it now (gen 3) and sill running strong.

Two broken ejectors on a new gun???!!! Sell the Kuna and get a real PPC.

Pretty sure they helped win a world war pimp. That statement is way out of line
Of course you know that the historic Springfield Armory, established in 1777, closed in 1968 and had since just been a brand name used by the L.H. Gun Company, right? Nothing to do with a war winning Government armory.

Pretty sure you are retarded. Springfield armory Inc (what everyone refers to as Springfield) is a company founded in 1974

The Springfield Armory is a GOV owned arsenal. It shut down in 68.

Not even in the same state.

    Try again.
