Anyone ever shoot one? Likes/dislkes, where did you get it think this will be my next Handgun buy

Never shot one but I get a woodie every time I run across one at a gun shop.
Had a 7" AMT Longslide back in the day as my first 1911 and I guess I never quite got it out of my system.
Springfield's looks a hell of a lot better.

Shot the Area 1 USPSA match back in 2001, Rob Leatham was on my squad and it was one of the first matches he shot with the longslide .45. He was absolutely raving about it. I think he only shoots 6" guns in Limited nowadays. At the time he not only won Limited 10 with it, but his scores would have put him at the front of Limited as well and in the top 10 of Open....seemed to work for him!
