Sidearms & Scatterguns Springfield Mil-Spec sight cut question

I have an old Springfield Mil-Spec from the 80's and wanted to upgrade the rear sights with an adjustable set but I don't know what type of dovetail is cut in the slide for the non-adjustable rear sight that is on there now. It has a pinned front sight. Also, what rear sights would you recommend that are adjustable and would go on with only minor fitting? Thanks, Joe

Some of those springfields have different depths. I would call Springfield Custom shop and get some proper feedback for your serial number. I know you don't want to dump money into it, but SA custom shop is reasonable on some stuff so just ask? If your great with handy shit, you might be GTG.
