Rifle Scopes Springfield Socom II- Good Optic?

Hello,

I am purchasing one of these soon and want to put an optic on it. I want to spend no more than $1500 on the optic. I am looking for something to make hitting targets out to 500 yds easier. I am not looking to use this rifle for cqc so I don't need a 1x4.

I have heard that the following companies are quality: Nightforce, zeiss, schmidt & bender, swarovski, us optics, etc.

The problem is I really dont know the difference between them, I just know they are quality? So any input on what brand AND model you would put on this rifle would be great. Again, $1500 budget.

I have an IOR Valdada 4-14x50 on mine. With the price and reliability I COULDN;T DO WRONG My rail stops at the chamber so I added the Sage Scope Base mount. I throughly enjoy mine it just take a minutr to get the scope mounted an zeroed. but like Most .308 s it can be a tact driver at close or mid rang. Have fun and do share what you work out on a mount.

My friend has the same rifle you have and he uses a Nightforce 1-4 and a Sadlak mount. Works good
