Spuhr 4001 vs 4006

I have a Gen 3 Razor 6-36 on the way and am still debating on which Spuhr mount to buy.

Will be going on a TL3 action in a Foundation Centurion stock. 6.5cm.

I know both will work I’m thinking the extra height of the 4006 my be more comfortable but is there an important benefit I’m overlooking as to why I should go with the lower 4001?

On my Gen 2 razor I had low ARC rings (0.92 I think) and couldn’t even fit the vortex defender front cap on the clearance was so tight.

I know the 4001 will give me the necessary height but I’ve been seeing many are liking to go a bit higher now for comfort so that’s why I was leaning towards the 4006

The 4006 will afford you a little more height to get it just right for you using the adjustable cheek piece of the Centurion and might be the safer bet in terms of comfortability if you are thinking the 4001 might be a little too short.

The 4006 sounds like it might be the better choice for you.

Bump for some more discussion on this, im in the same boat but with NF 7-35, Foundation Centurion, and Terminus Zeus. Looking into 4001 or 4006, anyone have pics showing the gap on each? OP what did you end up going with?

I ended up with the 4006 and I’m happy with it. Optic is higher and more comfortable but not too much gap. I believe I measured 2.26 inches height over bore axis.
