Afternoon Guys,
I watched the SpeedLoads video sponsored by Mile High on YouTube and they provided good information; however, I still have a few questions. I have a Steiner M7Xi which obviously has a 56mm objective. Steiner recommends 40 MOA of cant with this optic; however, I'm not sure I need all of that. I’ll be mounting it to an FNH SPR with a Badger 20 MOA base. I might just grab a 10 MOA cant in my mount for a total of 30 MOA. Caliber is .308 and my max shooting will probably be no more than 1K but ya never know.......Not sure yet. Rifle sits in a Mcrees Precision chassis with nothing but barrel forward of the scope base; therefore, nothing to contend with as far as the objective bell impacting anything but I do have to worry about those beefy scope caps that it comes with. Chassis obviously has an adjustable comb.
Is the above mount the best option or do I need to choose one to allow more clearance like the SA-4601 w/ 1.378"?
My three primary concerns are obviously eye relief, the center turret where all of the controls lie on the scope not clearing the Spuhr mount and the objective lens not clearing the top of the barrel.
What do you guys recommend??? Thanks again....
