Hey guys! Went to the range yesterday and it was only my 3rd outing with my Remington 700 AAC-SD in .308. My setup is as follows... Millett 6-25x56 LRS-1 scope, EGW 20 MOA base, Millett tactical rings (LOW)and a Bell & Carlson Medalist stock.
So here is my range report from yesterday shooting 178 grain Hornady Match Hpbt with both Varget and H4895.
It seems that my gun liked the lowest velocity load. Is this enough to shoot out to 1000 yards? I also have some Sierra MK 168 grains, but I haven't tested them yet. Should I buy some Sierra MK 175's to test as well? or will it not be much difference from the 178's that I used here?
All my shots felt good and I was using a front rest with a rear bag in the prone position so everything was solid.
Thanks for any input!
Conditions were...
30.00 Barometric pressure
3866 Ft Altitude
5990 Ft Density Altitude
74.1 degrees Fahrenheit
Headwind was 5 mph at max
Crosswind 1.5 mph
