SS wet cleaning brass and nickel brass

I have been using the SS wet method of cleaning brass for a while now and I have a question about nickel plated brass. I don't have much nickel plated brass but what I do have I am cleaning with regular brass and most of the time the brass comes out nice and clean but the nickel brass usually comes out darker. Should I be doing the nickel brass separate?

Yes separate nickel from brass and it don’t need to be tumbled as long in my opinion also don’t use to much lemishine
