SST vs VLD is there much difference?

I was running out of eld bullets so I grabbed a box at the store not realizing they were sst bullets. First indication was the cannelure. I had just found a load that shoot great so I loaded up some rounds anyway. Question is...Is there any difference besides the cannelure?

Looks at the BC on the boxes. The BC of the ELD is .126 better than the SST. Ballistically speaking, the eld is on another planet from the SST.

Well, found one of my eld and compared side by side. They are different. Measured with a comparator and confirmed my observations.
