is it ok to use stainless steel media in a vibratory tumbler, I have a Lyman 2500, would this tear up the bowl? Also where can one acquire this type of media?

Thanks,
Taylor Lee

Re: stainless steel media?

ive never heard of SS media, for really dirty brass the red "toughnut" media from Lyman works great

The Stainless steel media would not work in a vibratory tumble. By the time you have enough media in the bowl it will exceed the suggested weight limit for the tumbler. Also, the rotary motion with the Water and soap is what yields the results that you are looking for.
