Stainless treatment question

I'd like to get something to cover the shiny silver stainless finish. My experiences with duracoat, via 1911s, have been poor (easy to chip, flake).

Of course there's robar...

Any suggestions?

Ionbonding is really nice and extremely durable.

ok, so it's basically the same deal as with pistols.... ionbond is great, etc.
