I'm trying to make the step up from .308 to 6.5 creedmoor but can't decide on between these two rifles.

I really like the look of the old style HS stock in the picture but it ships with the newer style that I really don't like. This is mainly going to be for punching paper but I'd also like to keep it as light as possible and that's why I'm debating the lighter model 10 vrs the heavy 12. The main question is the barrel on the 10 heavy enough to keep vertical stringing down? I figure the two less inches shouldn't keep me from hitting at 1000 yards but am I wrong? I don't get out very often to shoot so when I do I shoot a lot and I just don't want that to be a problem for the barrel. So am I better off getting the the boat anchor or will the 10 do the trick? The stocks are a wash, I don't like either of them so both would be sold soon after I got them.
