I have a 10x S.S.(in Burris XTR low rings, with an EGW rail) mounted on a Savage model 11f chambered in .300wsm. For the third time I have had to re-position the scope in the rings. This has resulted in a pretty nifty divot in the parralax ring and major inconvenience. I was thinking of upgrading to TPS steel rings but can not afford those and a steel base for awhile. Will the aluminum base hold up for a while? Thanks for your input.
