Ok, I want to get some steel plates that I don't need the AR500 steel for rifles. These will only be used for handguns and shotguns.
Any suggestions on what type of steel plate is needed and what thickness? Do any of the guys who make AR500 plates also make pistol only plates?

Thanks

I would use 3/8" AR500 for handguns. Mild steel will start to bend (dish shape) if you shoot it a lot.

Yeah, I would still use the hard plate for pistols. I have steel pipe legs on my MGM target and the .40 puts the hurting on them (but only when my brother shoots, obviously
