Rifle Scopes Steel vs aluminum

Just wondering if mixing materials mattered. I know the contraction and expansion properties of each are very different when heated and cooled. Would mixing materials in rings and bases matter?

Not at all, most scope tubes are aluminum. Aluminum base with steel rings, steel base with aluminum rings or all aluminum, makes little difference.
