I recently purchased a Steiner 3-12x56 Mil Dot scope and have been testing it out over the last couple of days. I've noticed a fair amount of chromatic aberration (purple fringing). My assumption was that optics of this quality and cost would have eliminated this. If I change my eye position it tends to disappear.
Has anyone else experienced this, is this usual or unusual, is my technique off when I look through the scope?
Thanks.
PS. I haven't really used scopes before, just red dots and iron sights.
