Steiner Mk4 Weaponlight

It’s time to upgrade the weapon light on my AR. Streamlight 1L-1AA in a VTAC mount. Does anyone have any experience or feedback about the Steiner lights? The Mk4 is a light with pressure switch, the Mk5 is a standalone hand held. Competitor to the Surefire 600, near as I can tell, but not much in the way of reviews that I could find.

I understand their other electro optical/laser gear is good stuff, though I don’t own any. I’ve got several Steiner scopes, and really like them.

I realize this is old, but I picked one of the Steiner Mk 4s recently. I haven't run it for long, but so far it seems to be good to go. Mounting/fit/finish is all excellent - I'm running it next to a comp so we will see how well it holds up. The mount has flexibility on how you orient the light, so you can snug it up to your handguard as much as you want to.
I wasnt sure 500 lumens would be enough, but after using it, I think its enough though I wouldn't go any less.
