Stgw 57 - Barrel change

Dear all,

I own an Stgw 57 in excellent condition and intend to upgrade it into a modern marksman rifle.

I will add several accessories from Wyssen Defence (similarly to this version: https://www.gruenel.ch/de/product/sig-stgw-57-_custom-dmr-recon_-05_0100) and potentially a new barrel.

Would replacing the barrel with a barrel from Grünig & Elmiger make a big difference? Or would keeping the original barrel have the same effect?

Nobody here has access to that Swiss beauty, I've never seen an STG57 like that. What a beautiful rifle!!!! you are better off at Sturm to ask but how would anyone know when those are unobtanium in the US??
