stock/ Action bedding recomendations?

I want to have my Savage FCP HS beeded and I need some advice.
Is it a bad idea to DIY, if so who would you recomend here on the hide to get it done? If I do it myself where could I get some good instruction and materials?

Look in the gunsmith section there is a whole DIY thread on this. My buddy has done a few and says it is pretty easy.
