Gunsmithing Stock inleting

Re: Stock inleting

Just talked to the folks at Richards and they allow how since the little things where cut off of each end of the stock that they couldn't help me. If all else fails I'm going to try it myself but I'm not much of a wood worker but the stock is no good to me they way it is.
Thanks

Re: Stock inleting

Get a good book on gunsmithing or stockmaking and start reading. It isn't that hard but some reading will help. At different points in the process you will need 1. a drill press 2. a router, 3. 1/4 wood chisel 4. wood rasp and a some type of stockmakers vise. Also masking tape and stock makers screws. If you or a buddy have these tools you should be able to do this job.
