I have been kicking this around for my Armalite AR50A1 stock. There are some monopods out there for these big guys but I don't just like anything just because they fit. I am somewhat creative and like to mess with stuff.

What I am planning it to cut off the front hook of the original stock and add or machine a mil spec rail into the bottom of the stock. When finished I want to add a Accu-Shot BT-04 Rear Monopod under it. What do you guys think?

Re: Stock mod on a AR50 to add a rear monopod

I shoot off a bench at the range. With the bipod that I have, there wasn't enough room for a monopod under the rear stock. So, I made one that mounts in front of the trigger. It attaches to the t-slot. And it has plenty of adjustment room. I don't have any pictures but might could take some later. I have used it a few times and seems to work. But like anything, there is room for improvement.
