I have a 20" 300 win mag barreled action in the for sale section but I have about decided to keep it. I had originally planed to have it rebarreled but decided to go with a stiller tac300 for my new build. Considering that, I decided I would just build the new rifle from the ground up and just sell the short 300 wm. I am reconsidering though, the gun shoots very good, it just doesn't have the velocity of the longer barrel . I am seriously considering getting a suppressor and this gun with the short barrel would be ideal for that to go along with my 20" 308. I have a 20" 308 that SSC built me on a stiller action with a Manners MCS-T and am having the same put on the 26" 300wm that he is building me. Well since the 20" 300wm is sitting at his shop and I'm not going to use any of the parts off of it on the new build I figured I might as well buy a new stock for it and just have an extra rifle laying around. It has a 20" mike rock M24 barrel and a rem 700 LA. SAS tomb brake. I'm thinking of making it sort of a utility truck gun kind of thing. Don't want to drop a ton of money on this project, but since all I'm short is the stock I figured I would go ahead and finish it out. Any suggestions on a good stock for this project?
