I am in the tail end of the waiting game for my new stock from Kevin. I have seen a couple pics around here. Let see some pics of Kevin's work! Stocks, rifles and bottom metal. I am interested in his bottom meatal as well but have only seen a couple pics.

Re: Stockade stocks, lets see some pics

Come on guys. Someone has to have some stockade porn to help hold me over while I wait on mine...

Re: Stockade stocks, lets see some pics

I want to see some of Kevin Rayhill's masterpieces as well, I'm also waiting for one of his stocks as well, a rollover thumbhole lefty (his first time making that model in lefty configuration, so I had to tack on an extra 2-4 months on top of the already long 2-4 month wait) along with his bottom metal.

Anyone have a pic of the rollover thumbhole that they can share? I'm still contemplating what paint design I'm going to use on the stock...

I'm waiting on the Woodchuck for my 25" SA 284win now. Only option I did was the adjustable front rail. I couldn't resist going with the unfinished version so I could put my own personal touch on it. Mine should be here within a month hopefully. I did get behind an elk stalker the other day and it was nice also. The pic on his website doesn't do it justice. Have also seen a prairie dog. I kind of wish I would have went with it, but this rig is a combo comp/hunting rifle so I figured the woodchuck was a better fit.

Re: Stockade stocks, lets see some pics

The stock I ordered is for a 24" 300WSM, which kicks pretty hard, although its tolerable, i got the thumbhole to be able to deal with it a little better, this rifle is for hunting as well as for punching paper. I bought a fully painted stock, I've painted stocks myself but I'm terrible and not very creative, I thought Kevin would be able to do a much better job than me.

The pics on his website are very old, they haven't updated in years, from what I hear Kevin's technique has improved a lot since those pictures were taken, so none of those pictures really do his stocks any justice. I really recommend his bottom metal for people looking to go the detachable magazine route, its slick, simple and better imo than any other bottom metal for Savage rifles, not many people know Kevin for making bottom metal, but he does, and hes really proud of his work, as with everything he does.

Re: Stockade stocks, lets see some pics

I guess we won't see any pics as the wait time is too long

That's why, and after some hesitations, I finally went with B&C A2 instead.

I sold my B&C to go with a Stockade. I will take quality and options/versatility over lead times. In the long run it will pay off.
