Who makes the best mid-priced (under $400 for my budget)stock for prone shooting? I have a Savage 10. I am looking at B&C Varmint Medalist. Am I on the right track? When I go prone with the factory stock, scope blacks out. I have had this scope on other rifles and didn't have this problem. I need some advise because I am at a loss how to correct this. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Rich

Re: stocks?

Can you post a picture of your setup? I think the scope is mounted either too low or too high which makes it hard for you to get a proper cheekweld. Check this first before you spend money on a new stock. Although if you have the plastic stock from savage and have the money to buy a B&C or HS then why not. Stockade stocks is also in your price range and for a little more you can get a Manners.

Hope this helps,
Joseph

Re: stocks?

Just ordered one B&C Vertical grip Tactical medalist. Should be getting it tomorrow. Will put it in my Remy 700 243. I also had a B&C stock in my old Remy XCR. I have to say those B&C stocks are GTG.
