Every actor or celebrity that was moving from Calif. to Austin, she referred to on a first name basis. Gary Sinise was 'Gary and his wife' and of course Sandra Bullock was just 'Sandra.'

She was also dumber than a stump and every witty comment or pun me or anyone made she was the only one left saying "I don't get it". I got to the point where I just ignored her and kept talking.

She finally went full Karen on me and I blocked her number.

I would pose these people perform poorly due to the fact they spend their time focusing on other people's lives instead of bettering their own.

Which is why I have 2 ex-wives. One of the major issues was they eventually became Real Housewives/Kardashian/reality TV watching people and I came in a distant second to their fascination with all that. Created an unhealthy feedback loop. Woman was hooked, I was an asshole for not wanting to watch other people's lives with her. I was then an asshole because "you don't wanna spend time with me anymore."

Let's just say it was downhill from there.

I think it's more like people that concern themselves with other people's lives instead of their own are small minded in general. Over the decades and centuries it's been pretty well established simpleton-folk can only seem to busy themselves with fascination about bullshit interpersonal conflict of others. The "rumor mill" in any workplace is an unhealthy thing, generally. I detest gossip and the like.

That reminds me of autistic savants like portrayed in "Rain Man" or "K-Pax" (the latter which is sci-fi but can also be explained in savant terms). Some of those with it can do complex math equations right there with precision and speed that equals an electronic calculator. However socially, they are at a very high disadvantage. Most are very awkward socially and people who interact with them and don't know them can even call them creepy... Pretty weird shit...

That phony name dropping real estate broker I described in post #9 couldn't stay on any topic for more than one sentence. The next sentence would be on a completely different subject. It was like her mind was going in a hundred different directions at once.

And forget trying to talk to her over dinner. While you were trying to make eye contact and talk about something important she would be picking up some display ad and reading it or looking all around the restaurant at people walking in and then interrupt with, "Oh look at that little girl. She's so cute." or some other bullshit.

She got yelled at by another lady realtor in front of a buyer once who told her "Are you listening? You better stay focused here!" She bitched at me about it afterwards but I knew exactly what the other realtor meant.
