Stupid question time

Depends on how far you intend to shoot and scope you are using. It allows you to maximize your Elevation. Especially if your scope don’t have enough.

You know, there is literally a “stupid question” section on this forum ?. Jk. Everyone here are all very enthusiastic about knowledge sharing. I provided a simple answer. I’m sure someone will soon give you a more thorough, 2 page answer.

As singleshot said, how far do you intend to shoot and what scope? I normally run 20 moa on everything but I want to switch to 40 on a couple rifles I use out to a mile.

My RPR came with a 10 or 20 MOA rail which aligns perfectly with my Seekins handguard. My Burris rings are 20 MOA and fully adjustable from there with ring inserts. I'm sure itll reach out to 1000 yards; only limited by my skill.

I run 0 MOA rails on my guns. Unless you're really reaching out far, anything else isn't really necessary. I prefer to keep the cheekpiece as low as possible (you'll have to raise it up a bit due to the scope pointing up towards the back). But that's not a huge deal. I just prefer to leave it all flat unless you really need to do something different. Of course my CTR came with a 0 MOA rail, so I would've had to spend money on anything else, which was part of the decision also. If I had to buy a rail either way, it's probably 50/50.
