Substitute for Berger 175g. VLD?

What projectile would be a good sub for the 175g VLD target from Berger? Something preferably less $ if it's out there. 24" .308 r700 1-11 twist

A lot of guys are reporting good results with horn. 178. They are definitely less expensive. I stiil stay with Berger, but only for match purposes as they are rather high end, but results makes it worth the extra dough. I rarely just shoot for the sake of shooting anymore, for the obvious reasons ( availablility and cost ). When I do it's usually with a pistol or my CZ452.

I enjoy the VLDs a lot, just can't find any lately.


i had bought some blem/over run 178g Amax's to mess around with last month, they were like .14 a pill
