Not sure if this has been covered before but, I'd like to know which is better for general range shooting. Our range faces south and this time of year the sun is very low in the south and bright light hits the scope lens without a sunshade.

I'm debating between a regular sunshade tube or an ARD (Anti Reflective Device) such as this https://www.brownells.com/optics-mo...-cover-39-40-43-sku749003046-34084-66762.aspx with a Butler Creek flip cap.

Actually I don't have and haven't been able to find a sunshade for my scope, so the ARD and cap looks like they would be a good alternative.

I'd like to hear pros & cons that you have experienced with these two devices.
