Rifle Scopes Sun Shade

Is a sun shade for a Leupold mark4 scope worth the amount of money? It seems to me that all you get is the look of a sun shade. Do they really help that much with glare?

If you have a problem, yes they help. If you don't have a problem with glare then don't worry about it.

My local range, from Oct-Feb the afternoon sun sits directly over the berm. A USO ARD/sunshade is the difference between an eye full of sunflare and an enjoyable day at the range.

But as LoneWolf says, if you need it you'll know it.
