Supertricker vs Autotrickler

Quite frankly both suck. And you should just buy a RCBS lite until the ingenuity precision system comes out (ip is 2 years behind schedule though but maybe? It will release soon)

People will tell you the v4 is okay - it is not. It’s a half assed product that should have never come out and requires hours of tinkering with 3rd party shit to get it to maybe work as intended. Just skip the v4

I would not buy a v4 or stupidtrickler. But supposedly MK machining is supposed to be making shims and tips that are supposed to help. I don’t know if adding a IP trickler to the v4 makes it run any better.

I have a supertrickler, it spilled a lot at first, but I got 3d printed accessories from a member on here and it doesn’t spill at all anymore. It has its other issues though. If I paid full price I might have mixed feelings but I got it off a buddy for a great deal. I do like the extra accuracy the scale gives me over my old charge-master though.

My V4 works fine for my needs, recreational shooting with 4-5 different calibers (powders) mostly. There was a learning curve in the beginning but I easily adapt for longer grain powders in seconds now. You can save those settings making it easy. Also, changing powders in the hopper seemed awkward initially but now takes a minute or so. Very easy. I’m not sure what others issues are but mine has saved a shit ton of time for me. Just like the Giraud trimmer. Initially it took some set up of various cutting heads and case holders but now the swap is easy and trimming is as painless as trimming can be I guess for this kinda money.

hey guys,

i need to upgrade my equipment and im not sure if the difference in price from the auto to the super is worth it.

any recommendations?
The best setup currently available right now, in my opinion, is to buy the IP trickler and all associated electronics, etc, plus an A&D FX120/300. Set up your manual powder measure to throw about 1.5gr under your target and finish with the IP trickler. You can throw and trickle accurate charges as fast as you can seat the bullet from the previous throw, and you'll be able to keep and use it all with the remainder of the complete IP system when (if) if ever comes out. But even if it never does, you'll still have a great system.

I said "currently available" above because guys who are using the IP trickler with the older V3 Autotrickler seem to be really satisfied with that combination, but the V3 is no longer in production.

I have owned multiples of both. The tier list is going to be as follows:

A -Prometheus - AT V2/3 with Ingenuity Trickler
B -Supertrickler
C- AT V4
D- Rest of the Chinese powder throwers with cheap ass unreliable scales.

Like many I am waiting for the Ingeniuty thrower to come out. I had 2 AT V4 and sold them to get Supertricklers. An upgrade but not perfect.

If you care about speed, buy 2 or 3 systems. I run 2 and could use a 3rd to keep up with a XL750. I know guys that run 4 side by side to speed up reloading.
