I've been doing some support side shooting occasionally for 3 months now. While it's gradually getting a little easier to get behind the rifle, it's not to the comfortable stage yet. More practice and dry firing is in order.

That being said, my POI shooting left handed with a centerfire is consistently ~1.5MOA/.5mil high whether the distance is 100 or 400 yards. I believe there's something wrong with my fundamentals. I haven't been able to diagnose whats causing the shift in impact. I think it may be control of recoil, or lack thereof. Thoughts?

A couple of other things to add. The rifle wears an eagle stock pack, (no cartridges in the loops

). Also I wear bifocals, and I do have problems quickly getting a good sight picture from the weak side. I'll double check paralax, as well as your other idea regarding cheek pressure the next time shooting. Thanks for your suggestions.

Could be parallax or scope shadow as stated above. It could also be the placement of the stock in your shoulder. Are you maintaining NPA from shot to shot, or is the recoil throwing the rifle off?

Also, some shooters slop their trigger control when shooting weak side and start anticipating the shots. Dry fire will cure that if that is the cause. Run a couple dummy rounds without knowing which shots it will be to test yourself on that.
