Gunsmithing Suppressed DPMS 308

I am going to go hunt pigs next month so I went and bought a dpms sporticle in 308. When I shot the weapon with the standard issue birdcage muzzle break, the action cycles alot cleaner and I dont feel debris hitting me for the action. As soon as I put on the suppressor, when the action cycle I can fill debris hitting me in the face (because I am left handed). So I have had to shoot the gun with a modified hold to block all the crap from hitting me in the face.
Would increasing the size of the hole in the gas block make this go away? I still need it to shoot without the suppressor but I would like for it to not be throwing crap into my face all the time. I am shooting medium loads with 150gr bullets if that matters. And like I said the load shoots debris free when I use a muzzle break, but screw on the suppressor I can fill it. A good thing is I have not POI between suppressed and unsuppressed. Any help would be great

Suppressor adds back pressure, if anything you need smaller port size when running suppressor. Increasing port size will only make issue worse.

That is what I meant. A little early still. What can I do to counter the raised pressure of the suppressor. Adjustable gas block?

An adjustable gas block is like penicillin, it will cure a lot of problems. A extra extra (2 extra's on purpose) heavy buffer might help, but nothing beats the penicillin.

Run an adjustable gas block and also get a gas buster charge handle or do the RTV trick to your current handle. Even with the block properly adjusted, you're still going to run alot dirtier than unsuppressed but, that's the price you pay.

Adjustable gas block is the only way to go. For what is worth, my dpms loves 168 gr federal gmm and 175 gr Black Hills. Nasty one hole groups at 100 Yards. All the 150 gr ammo I tried only produced1.5 to 2 inch groups.

In my gun, the 168 and 180's dont shoot as good. I am using CCI Mag primers and have tried h380 and RX15. Next time I get to town for some powder I am going to go for 168 and Varget. I have some H322 to try but the 150's are giving me about 1/2 - 3/4 MOA at 100. I was going to go shoot 5 and 600 today but it was raining and now it is snowing. Damit. I have had the gun for a week and the round count is about 200.
