It's 100+ these days in phoenix and I'm having a bit of a problem while used my 338 suppressor. I have a mirage cover on it already, but what seems to happen is that it spills out the front and back of the cover! On scorching hot days, this happens after only a couple shots. Any advice?

Not much you can do about mirage, especially with a 338. i'm sure that generates a lot of heat quick into the suppressor. Best bet is take a few shots and pull cover off and let cool down, titanium cans cool down fairly fast vs steel cans. Or turn your magnification down so mirage is not so noticeable.

I have wrestled with this and have not found a way around it other than slowing down my rate of fire. This is why I bring along a 22. I do have a shooting buddy who lugs a canister of CO2 with him to cool things down in a hurry but, aside from being a pain in the ass, I wonder if all the rapid cooling and heating fatigues the metal.
