Suppressors Suppressor ownership??

New here and please direct me to any posts regarding my questions.

I live in Minnesota where a suppressor is illegal to own. Is it possible to buy and keep one in a state that allows ownership of a suppressor and use it when in that state. Say I were to go to prairie doggin' in a western state and used it there.
Minnesota sucks when it comes to suppressors!

In a word: No. That help? IIRC, the device has to be registered to you at your primary residence. If that's Montana, where according to FW&P it is illegal to be in the field with a suppressor at any time, you're stil screwed.

Yeah...that helps. and sucks at the same time. Guess retirement will DEFINITELY be in a "friendly" state.

Create an LLC in the state you wish to keep it in and register/transfer it to the LLC. You must have a way to legally create the LLC in another state as well as a place to keep/store the suppressor.

I have heard of folks from Washington doing this by creating an LLC in Oregon for their SBR's and machine guns. They just have to store those items in Oregon somehow. It gets even weirder cause they can take suppressors into Washington as long as they don't use them.

Another reason I love Oregon.

Suppressors are illegal in Montana or did you mean Minnesota? I have a hard time believing Montana is more strict on suppressors than other states.
