So I just picked up my last 2 cans this past Saturday and would like to put a wrap on it. Actually both now that I think about it. Phanton .223 QD & Osprey .45. I have an Elite Iron wrap on the .22, but she advises her wraps for slow precision fire. I actually spoke with her, very helpful and pleasant. Could members give some personal testimony or point me in the right direction? Thank you.

That's what silicone pot holders are for. You can safely do can change overs, take the can off to load it with more wire pulling gel, etc. Personally I only see the need for a suppressor wrap when we are dealing with a long rifle and high powered glass. I guess to each their own.

I shot a 600 yard match yesterday with a 20" barrel and the mirage I was getting from the suppressor was significant.

OP originally mentioned an Osprey, which there's absolutely no point in having a wrap on a pistol can. I had my Osprey out today and dumped approximately 70 rounds through it in about 3 minutes. Needless to say, it got a little spicy and the mirage over irons or a small unmagnified optic like the RMR is not enough to warrant a suppressor wrap. On a long rifle, yes they absolutely have their merrits.
