Suppressors Suppressor's for LMT MWS

Re: Suppressor's for LMT MWS

You say you are setting it up as a demo.
Does that mean that you are wanting it to just look good, or are you looking to the best sound reduction, accuracy, POI shift, and balance?

If looks is the primary goal, the usual suspects with proprietary mounts are the way to go.

If optimum performance as a precision fire platform is the desired result, then a single point thread on can is the way to go.

I realize my answer to your questions is vague, but the selection of a suppressor is a very subjective thing and is relative to your needs.

Re: Suppressor's for LMT MWS

The Surefire 762SS wont work with out reprofiling the barrel.

The 762K will work fine with out any modifications. The Brittish are using the 762K on their L129A1s.

Sounds like this guy is either a dealer or Hollywood type.
Either way, getting one would be alot easier that it is for the average buyer.

Thanks for the correction on the AAC & Surefire.
I was under the impression that they used a longer mount like the miter and the can came back over it.

Sniper, counter sniper operations. LMT is using the Surefire can, very spendy. I was looking more toward AAC, they have a new Model coming out after the shoot Show. For the Hollywood comment, I cut my teeth as young man in 3rd bat. 75th ranger reg.

Thunder Beast make a great product, but not rated for FA. That is not the purpose for this weapon. If the Zombia's come over the hill I would like to have the capability to put them down. My bolt gun has the 30 cal titanium. Fabulous, I talked to Ray and said 20-30 rounds is all that he would suggest to fire rapidly thru it in a very short time.

Re: Suppressor's for LMT MWS

If you are not used to dealing with AAC, I just received this last week the order of products they displayed at last year's shot show.

If you ordered a product from a dealer who has AAC silencer in stock that will work you might have it in time for your March demo.

I deal with AAC because I like their product, my customers deal with me because they want AAC quality and willing to wait.

With Remington purchase of AAC last year, they are saying delays and inventory stock levels are going to improve. Time will tell.

Re: Suppressor's for LMT MWS

Are you referring to the AAC 762-SDN-6?
The company can be a bit controversial at times, but their products are solid.
I don't own any of the AAC stuff, but I have heard a few.
(Other products were a better fit for my application.)
Their performance is consistent and their prices are very competitive.

Nothing derogatory intended regarding the Hollywood comment.
Those were the only two possibilities that dawned on me when reading your original post.
Thank you for your service.
