Im thinking about taking my new LMT 308ss 18inch barrel all the way, and slapping a SureFire Suppressor on it. I know the goverment picked up a big contract for military use, and I know these suppressor are top of the line, and the cost reflects that.

Does anybody have any input, feedback, expierence SureFire suppressors on a 308? Looking for information-Thanks

Re: SureFire 308 End Mount Sound Suppressor

I have a QD surefire can. If I could do it over I would snag a pair of TBAC cans and still pay less lol...

That said, I have a TBAC 30p1 and a surefire 7.62K QD.

Both cans are great. POI shift for both is predictable and consistent. I would say the 30p1 is quieter, but then again, it is a bit longer. Probably not really fair to compare the TBAC unit to a compact QD piece.

I use the 30p1 on my precision bolt gun; it stays on most of the time. I swap the surefire around on an ar10 and a couple less precision oriented weapons.

Both companies make quick detach units now I think btw.

I like the overlap design myself, it balances better and suppresses just a hair better then the end mount design. (At least from my ear it suppresses better)

Also ads a little less length. A lot of people hate on SF because of cost, I do too, but for a QD unit for LE/Military it's probably the best unit out there. If it's a comp gun only and don't really have a use for QD then get a TBAC.

Two of my shooting partners shoot SF's and they suppress well and are constructed very well. POI shift using the same can on his gun and my gun was non existent.
