Gunsmithing Surgeon 591 and RSR footprint? Same?

Are they the same? Will a stock inletted/bedded for one or the other work? What's the difference if not?

The inlet for the side bolt release has to be bigger for a 591. It and the rsr are different sized. Other than that, they are the same as far as I know.

A stock inletted for a RSR or 591 will work on either. You will have to rebed if the stock is bedded for an RSR and you use a 591 or vice versa. The recoil lug area is different.
