I have a 6.5 Creedmoor on a surgeon action. Need to get some MDT 12 round mags. Should i go with or without binder plates. Thanks for the help.

Sorta depends on your freebore and what bullet you want to use.
Mine with a saami chamber and 140 rdfs is longer than a binder mag allows so nonbinder is required for where they like to be seated off the lands. Had to notch my rem700 to clear and occasionally they still catch under my origin with its factory notch thats noooot quite enough.

If you go without a binder you’ll need a notched feed ramp.
Believe it or not some of that depends on what bottom metal or chassis you are going to use.
Quite a few out there placed the geometry of the magwell further forward than they needed to which caused the whole issue in the first place.

It is a moot point for the OP since he already has a Surgeon that is notched during manufacture.
