I am looking for a new stock for my Remington 700, and have found a few HTGs in one store. These are all inletted for Surgeon bottom metal (with detachable magazine). However, I would much more prefer a flush bottom metal with a hinged floor plate (as with the M40A1 and the BDLs). Will a Badger Ordnance M4 triggerguard/bottom metal fit in the inletting for the Sugeon bottom metal?

I have a surgeon 591 with Badger M5....surgeon DBM is definitely different footprint than BO, it would have to be a different inlet.
