Gunsmithing Surgeon Integral Actions Stainless or Chrome Moly

Are the surgeon Integral actions 591, 1086 & XL chrome moly or stainless steel ? I am no mettalurgist and am unsure what the nomenclature for steel types on the websites pertains too.

I know the 591 and XL are Chromo action chromo bolt, the RSR and RLR is Stainless action with a Chromo bolt, but I dont know about the 1086. I would assume Chromo since it is intergal like the 591.

The 1086 is just a little larger verison of the 591. It has a Chrome moly bolt and body.

^ what he said. all the intergal actions are cm. i was told the ss doesnt do well with all the extra milling reqired on the intergal actions .
