Swapping barrel and bolt head

I got information to change the barrel and bolt head I'm trying to do it on a budget . Would it be cheaper to go through the manufacturer or some other way? To a 308 or one of the 6.5 and how many different variations are there of the 6.5 are there? Because i deer hunt and bear hunt as well let me know plz thnx guys

Cheaper for you to just purchase a Remington 308 police model than purchase barrel, bolt and pay gunsmith.

They just had a rifle sale here at my local Bass Pro shops last month. Remington 700 varmint barrel 308 rifle was $600. Police heavy barrel was $700. A decent replacement barrel for your existing rifle would be $350 for a Shilen pre-threaded. And a PTG replacement bolt would be $175. Now add cost for smith to install and set headspace plus you will still want to have everything coated... And theres the cost of a whole new rifle!

Er shaw was $175 & @nss they were around $300 but i haven't found the bolt head or gauge yet

Yeah but i was told that nss would have well everything i would need and i got er shaw and nss numbers just have to try and get ahold of them do u know how much. A bolt head would be by any chance
