Anyone tried swapping out the bottom metal of a Savage 10 FCP (.223) in the factory Accustock? I'm thinking about it so that I can get more rounds in it than the factory drop out mag, but the mag well has a little tab release, so it's either modify the existing release/metal or replace it so that it can use a standard .223 mag.

Has anyone done this yet? R+D Precision- New idea for your bottom metal designs?? Let me know folks. Thanks.

Don't know what your budget is for this project...however, XLR industries has a chassis system that will eliminate the bottom metal from your accustock and allow you to use 10 round mags with your rifle. Just search XLR industries or search aroud here.

or see if Z71rat will build you a 10 round 223 mag. darkeagle customs makes a bigger mag release. there is also CDI. i am not sure if he makes one or not for a 223
