Does anyone know if the zero stop can be modified (or removed) on this swaro Z6? I like the scope for a lot of reasons, but with the zero stop in place, you're limited to somewhere around 13 MOA of available usage. The scope has 100 MOA of total MOA travel, I would like to see if there is a work around to be able to use more of the travel the scope actually has.

I saw a youtube video of the zero stop being removed, but would like to know if anyone else has done it. If so, any downsides? I have never used zero stop, so I don't think I'll be missing anything if it can be removed.

thanks

I had the Z6 but never wanted to remove the zero stop as I feel it’s a feature that I would not want to do without. Maybe you can keep the stop but use 20 or 30 MOA rings so you can have more elevation adjustment?

I did end up installing a 20 MOA rail which gave me a lot more travel. With the 20 MOA rail and being zeroed at 200 yards it allows me to get to 875 yards (7mm) of travel. Which is obviously plenty considering it is mainly an elk hunting rig but there is always that little voice that says “it’s not a 1000 yard gun”. Lol. Which in the scheme of things doesn’t REALLY matter. But there is still that little voice. ?

How would shifting where the scope is zeroed at, within the scope itself, change the fact that his turret is still limited to one revolution?

I was just simply trying to get him more usable elevation by zeroing the the closer to the bottom of its range. Never said anything about getting more than one revolution on the turret. This scope is not designed as a double turn.

Exactly, so if he cant make use of what elevation travel he already has then whats the point of him getting a new base or rings? Other than to waste money on a nonanswer?

The more cant in the rings the more available evelvation that is until it’s already bottomed out, in that case it won’t help therefore as you state would be a waste of money. If the extra cant works then he would need to purchase a different scope.
