The original 10x is very good scope. Now that it is going to have mil turrets even better! I had one mounted on my 300 wsm for about 1000 rounds a never had a hiccup. The scope did everything I asked of it, and always returned to zero.
The 12x sounds really interesting as well, but IMHO, once you get into the 16x or 20x they start getting to dim.
The glass on the originals are very adequate...Better than most at the price point, but not breath taking either. And when you add more magnification to the same glass/exit pupil, it just gets less light through the scope.
The H.D. version of the 10x is a totally new scope on the inside. It has upgraded internal mechanisms, as well as improved glass. It has really taken an already very robust scope to a different level of tough!
The 5-20 is simply amazing! Save your pennies, it's worth it!
