Rifle Scopes SWFA scope documentation/manual?

Hello Sniper's Hide,

I'm sorry if this question has been asked already, but searching the forum does not seem to show any results.

I recently bought a used SWFA SS 12x42 scope with a mil reticle. The glass quality is good, and from testing in my apartment the focusing works. However, as it was used, it did not come with any sort of instructions or manual for something like how to read the marks on the turrets. Searching online shows a picture of how to read the reticle ( https://www.swfa.com/media/catalog/...b33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/s/s/ss12x42mq-5.jpg ), but no other information, and their brochures and manuals page ( http://swfa-ss.com/resources/brochures-manuals ) only includes a brochure for the rifle scopes. Is there documentation available online for use of this scope, or are there online resources available?

10 clicks equals one mil. Or the space between the diamonds.

One full revolution is 5 Mils or 5 diamonds.

There is no paperwork. You get a box with a scope in it. The picture in your first link is all you need to know. That is all you would get with any scope. The turrets are like all others.

Welcome to the Hide, David! SWFA keeps their prices low (in part) by leaving out the extra fluff that most scope brands seem compelled to pack in their boxes. SWFA assumes that their customers probably have some prior experience using a scope and don't really need any of that. If you want some guidance on dialing the turrets, setting the ocular focus and how to use the parallax adjustment, there are threads here that you can search for that info. I have an SWFA 12x of my own and believe it to be an excellent fixed-power scope for use on the target range.

I did this and they turned around a pdf to me as soon as the call was completed. Thank you!

The SWFA was recommended to me as a very good new shooter's scope, for someone who hadn't done any work with scopes before, because they're clear glass and enough reticle for low cost. It's recommended because you get a great scope with good glass for a low price.

In the grand scheme of things, a manual is fairly trivial. Edit: It's trivial with a scope like this as it is relatively simple.
