Rifle Scopes SWFA SS 1-4 Tactical Scope

In my search for a 3-gun optic, I have run across this one for SWFA. People seem to like the Super Sniper 10X, and at lease (1) review I saw compared the 1-4 to a trijicon TR24 and said the glass bested the TR-24 handily.

Does anyone have any experience this this scope. Here is a link to SWFA page.

Yes, the glass is phenomenal. The reticle is second to none, and there's no reason to doubt the reliability.

Well My 5-20x50 SS HD fell off the shooting table today onto concrete because of 20+ MPH winds!!! Then picked it up and started shooting again with out one bit of readjustments. The tables are about 3.5 ft high and the whole rig is about 14 lbs. So that's quite a fall, but all is ok

So I can say that the one I have is rugged enough to fall on concrete. Two Thumbs Up for SWFA and there scopes

Also I personally own a 1-4 to it's on a 6.8 SPC AR. I love this scope well made and very clear glass.

I purchased one of the 1-4 kits recently. After looking it over for a while, I just decided that I didn't like it as much as a nightforce. It's a bit longer than the NF and I did not care for the T-reticle. Im sure the donut would've been more desireable to my eye, but that model wasn't available in a kit. Yes, excellent glass and had very bright illumination.

I said screw it and picked up a NF 1-4 and will just try to unload the SS down the road. I'd recommend getting some time to look it over if you have the opportunity.

After some research I went with the SWFA 1x4. It is currently sitting on a LWRC SPR, in a ADM mount. While I only have about 200 rnds through it, I could not be happier with it. As previously mentioned, the glass is crystal clear. In comparing the 2 offered reticles, I went with the circle dot, as it seemed to be easier for my eye to pick up.

The only thing I don't like is the battery life - I can make 3 or 4 range trips before it is dead and this is turning it off between sessions. If the battery life was better I would have no complaints.

SS1-4 is GTG also check out the new Bushnell 1-6x that is set to be released as SHOT in a couple of weeks. Its 1-6 and the reticle choices seem particularly well suited to 3-Gun. Check out the SWFA SHOT Show thread for more info.

SS 1-4x = GREAT OPTIC.

I don't know about the glass "handily" beating the Trijicon Accupoint 1-4x, but it is very good quality that is AT LEAST as good as the Trijicon, and the donut reticle is vastly superior.

It's a good optic, overpriced at $800 in my opinion. I seen one on gunbroker w/ the donut reticle for $600 yesterday when I was looking to list mine. That's a very fair price, but says a lot about their resale value.
